CANDLE MAKING WORKSHOP

  • Broadworks 57 Old Broad Street London, England, EC2M 1RX United Kingdom (map)

Candle Making Workshop

Classes are hosted by Jen, the founder of Crouch End Candles. The sessions are creative and fun, and last about 2 hours.

What is the workshop?

We provide materials, equipment and expert tuition. During the workshop you will start with learning about how our sense of smell works and how fragrance affects our mood and emotions. You will then learn about the different fragrance families and what ‘Top’, ‘Heart’ and ‘Base’ notes are. You will have the opportunity to smell and test a selection of our fragrances before we take you step-by-step through the candle making process. You will then make your own scented soy wax candle! During the Workshop we'll share hints and tips on the creation of the perfect candle. You will be able to personalise your candle label with your name or the name of someone you would like to gift it to, then the candle you make will cure overnight and can be delivered, collected, or posted out to you. Each workshop participant will have their own blending equipment, mixing jug, thermometer, and glassware to use, as well as aprons for any small spills!
