Maureen Uzoh

Maureen Uzoh (b. 1997) is a Surreal visual artist from Nigeria, living in the United Kingdom.

Her passion for art started at a young age, and has always pushed her to learn and grow as an artist. Having studied sociology and international relations, she did not have the opportunity to get a formal education in art, so she began practising, watching videos online, and sourcing for informal materials. With many influences like Frida Khalo, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, she has built a career as an artist, and created works that boldly express her thoughts and realities.
